I have to agree. I don’t think anyone really “knows how to handle” it. And most of the time it results on serious insults and yelling. A polite- “please stop sexualizing me, it makes me uncomfortable and it’s disgusting” doesn’t not illicit a polite sorry and stopping. It results in more crude comments and laughing and insults. Honestly if I were op or even his son (I’m a young woman) I wouldn’t have even been that nice because shutting people down who are sexualize barely adults or anyone is already hard outside of a full blown ranting lecture at them...

My political opinions very much lean towards the idea that the government should exist to help, protect, and serve the people, not control them. I felt, and still feel like, that is the opposite of how our government runs. 4 years ago I was a month past 18 and excited to finally have a vote! I can do something affect change! I can help the world be a better place! I was full of cynicism and hatred for the way the world worked I wanted to do anything to change it. At 18 years old and prepared with a southern public education and the words of my republican father I was so sure that electing a business man and not a politician would help. I completely bought into the Trump campaign, I believed everything he said. I was young and dumb and blinded by my anger at the world and he was going to fix it. So I went with my dad and voted for my first time with no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice, I got my sticker, I took my selfie, and I was proud. Buy it : Premium Kizz Corgi shirt

My Dad is kind of like this and it drives me up a wall. “Oh I was there, you were fine, you can handle yourself.” Yeah, if I have to, I can make a scene and tell a guy to fuck off, but if I’m clearly uncomfortable and you’re still just standing there like nothing’s wrong it makes me doubt myself. And I don’t ever want to go nuclear on someone in a social setting, so a little gentle backup would be nice! If the exact same situation happened and the girl was his age and hot, and the son was still clearly that uncomfortable and he was just like “haha, kids, lol” and went back to flipping burgers... that’s not great either. I’m young, no kids, and have a blast. Plus it’s a good excuse to get out camping every month. I have definitely known as the scoutmaster who will happily help you with something, but who doesn’t suffer stupid questions.  Every crossover group is a patrol. And they keep their patrol the whole time. So there is absolutely no institutional knowledge coming down from the older scouts, it drives me nuts having a Where Was All Lives Matter From 1916 1968 Shirt PLC that’s mostly made up of kids younger than 14. Like… that 11-year old that joined the troop two months ago does not have anything worth contributing to the leadership of the troop. Blech.
