Skeleton loyalty shouldn't depend on my presence have my back behind my back shirt

My sister in law is a nurse and worked the phones for people calling in about symptoms and testing. Some people calling in would refuse to be tested because if they tested positive then they’d have to miss work. At the time my government was paying people something like $1000 if they were forced into self-isolation. The federal government was just throwing money out the door on top of that, $2000 a month on the honour system if people just said they’d lost income. Every incentive was to stay home if you’re sick. You can’t fix stupid.

I try to help my mom get through all the legal paperwork and things that comes after a spouse dies. Made sure she had groceries and company multiple times a week. I lived in a different town from my mom so I was traveling a lot between towns.6 weeks after my father passed my mom fell ill. I brought her to the hospital early one Wednesday morning, had her flown out to a bigger hospital later that afternoon. She passed away that Saturday. My wife gave birth to our first child on a Saturday back in March. Our school system shut down the following Monday. I taught my classes from home for the rest of the year and have since been on summer break. 6 uninterrupted months of time with my son. If they told me I had to go into a COVID disaster waiting to happen like what’s going on in this photo... maybe I’d try to sue, but I would 100% quit. No amount of money is worth endangering my son, and there will (mark my words) be a MASSIVE teacher shortage because of this complete buffoonery.
