Yes this is the comment I agree with. Calling someone "old and ugly" when you turn them down risks escalating an already precarious situation. Admittedly, assuming OP is a dude, he may not think about that aspect of having to reject someone's advances.
 What Kathy did was 100% unacceptable. OP may want to rephrase to his wife that he isn't okay with someone their age hitting on their teenager, and that her actions with uncomfortable and that someone had to step in to defend their son from sexual harassment.

I’m not sure what it’s like where you are, but here in the Great White North, there is a lot of solidarity between the Black and Indigenous rights movements. Black Lives Matter and Idle No More have collaborated before and their messaging often includes each other’s concerns. Often both groups work together with Pride movements as well.
