I’m not sure what it’s like where you are, but here in the Great White North, there is a lot of solidarity between the Black and Indigenous rights movements. Black Lives Matter and Idle No More have collaborated before and their messaging often includes each other’s concerns. Often both groups work together with Pride movements as well. Personally I think shaming her over her age was perfectly valid for this exact reason. She needing shaming over it because it was part of the reason it was so problematic.
